Manchester United are looking to make attacking signings this summer and may be ready to pull the trigger on two deals.
Sunday brought another blank in front of goal as Manchester United lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford.
No matter how you look at United’s disappointing season, the goalscoring problems stick out as arguably the biggest issue of all.
United have only managed 38 goals in 33 Premier League games this season, struggling to find the net on a consistent basis.
Ruben Amorim needs major investment in new attacking signings this summer and two targets appear to be at the top of the list.

Manchester United ready to sign Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap
Reports on Monday suggested that United were closing in on Matheus Cunha.
Personal terms have been discussed with Cunha, who has a £62.5million release clause in his Wolverhampton Wanderers deal.
Cunha was spotted chatting to Amorim on Sunday, as he helped Wolves beat United at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian would represent a major addition as a number 10 in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 approach, but United still need a striker.
The Daily Mail now claim that United are ready to pay the release clauses for both Cunha and Ipswich. Town’s Liam Delap as soon as possible.
It’s stated that United intend to trigger those clauses as soon as the transfer window opens on June 1.
A deal for Cunha is thought to be ‘very close’, but United want to follow that up with a deal for Delap.
Delap is described as United’s top target in attack, and a £30million release clause could bring United’s planned expenditure to nearly £100million on these two signings.
United are understood to face major competition for Delap, and some additional fees mean the fee could move much higher.
Still, United intend to get these two deals sorted as the window opens, providing Amorim with an early transfer boost.

Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap stats will excite United fans
United need a real injection of quality in attack.
This isn’t just about the centre forward position, as United also need to add players with flair and creativity in the final third.
Cunha fits that bill perfectly, having racked up 14 goals and four assists in 28 Premier League games this season.
Cunha has also recorded 47 key passes, more than any United player this season except Bruno Fernandes.
The Brazilian adds another creative force as well as a goal threat, which is just what United need from Amorim’s number 10 roles.
Delap has been been described as ‘phenomenal’ by teammate Jens Cajuste, having hit 12 goals in 32 Premier League outings this season.
The former Manchester City talent will be very familiar to Jason Wilcox and his development this season has been fascinating to watch.
Delap isn’t the finished product, and we can understand some comparisons towards Rasmus Hojlund in terms of his athletic qualities.
The 22-year-old has been a menace to Premier League defenders this season, though, and his ability to lead the line ahead of Cunha could be vital for United moving forward.
