Man Utd must make Jeremy Monga hijack decision as Arsenal bid rejected by Leicester

Manchester United have shown concrete interest in wonderkid Jeremy Monga but Ineos are at risk of missing out to Arsenal.

After rebuilding the midfield, Manchester United want to add a winger to Michael Carrick’s squad and one of the options is 16-year-old Jeremy Monga.

Monga is valued at £15 million, but his breakthrough at Leicester City has painted him as one of the most exciting young prospects in England.

However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Premier League rivals Arsenal have submitted an official bid for Monga.

Arsenal’s official bid and Jeremy Monga’s stance

Romano didn’t specify the size of Arsenal’s official bid for Monga, but it is added that Monga is “keen” on a move to Arsenal and a deal is now “moving quickly”.

Arsenal are feeling increasingly optimistic about their chances of signing the teenage star.

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal’s first bid for Monga was rejected by Leicester City.

However, Monga is viewing Arsenal as his “first choice” destination and a fee is expected to be agreed between the two clubs.

A second offer is expected to arrive from the Gunners.

Man Utd must give up on Jeremy Monga or attempt hijack

Back in April it was reported that United made a “formal approach” for Monga, with Ineos eager to make him the next talented wonderkid to join the ranks at Carrington.

However, United’s only hope of now landing Monga is to try and hijack Arsenal’s deal.

But United’s new transfer policy is centered on players who are desperate to play for United, and it sounds as though Monga has his sights set on The Emirates.

As a result, expect Ineos to back away from this deal, and for Monga to eventually complete a move to Arsenal this summer.
