Manchester United is in the market for a new striker this summer after a season in which goals have been incredibly difficult to come by.
Under both Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim this season, finishing has been among the biggest problems for Manchester United, as Rasmus Hojlund has regressed from the player he promised to be early in his career.

United have been among the worst attacking teams in the Premier League this season, with just 42 goals being scored, an amount which beats only Everton and West Ham outside of the bottom three.
Due to this, United are looking to strengthen the attack this summer, with Amorim in need of a number nine he can rely on.
There will be goals added with Matheus Cunha looking likely to be United’s first signing, with an ambition of securing the Brazilian’s signature early.
Following this, a new starting striker is likely to take priority, with the front line being United’s current weak point. Now, yet another option has been added to the list being considered by United.

Manchester United target Moise Kean
With several names being linked with United already ahead of this summer including Liam Delap and also Viktor Gyokeres, now Fiorentina forward Moise Kean has been added to the list.
It comes according to Foot Mercato, which reports the Italian striker’s renaissance this season has now attracted the interest of United.
United have joined Bayern Munich as an interested party in signing the striker, who has a £42m release clause in his contract this season.
The report explains that Kean has joined the shortlist for Ineos; however, he is viewed as an option to arrive only in the event that top targets Gyokeres or Delap do not arrive.
Kean has scored 17 goals this season in Serie A, yet signing a striker from Italy has been a move that has failed United two summers in a row, and surely this risk won’t be taken again.
Especially a player who is no better than Rasmus Hojlund.
How Moise Kean compares with Rasmus Hojlund
If Ineos were to hand Amorim Kean, as his new number nine, it would be a really underwhelming move that would be doomed to fail. The Fiorentina striker failed at Everton earlier in his career with four goals in 39 games after a £27m move.
This was seen as an appalling record at the time, yet Hojlund’s record is not far off being that bad this season. However, when the two are compared, it becomes clear Kean is not the striker for United.

While Kean has scored 23 goals, which is 14 more than Hojlund, it is his conversion rate of big chances that is worse than the Dane’s. Hojlund converts 46.7% of his big chances, while Kean has just 40%, which shows he is not the player to solve United’s issues.
Hojlund gets far fewer chances, with less than a third of the amount of shots that Kean has gotten per 90 this season. If United want goals next season, Kean must be passed over.
