Manchester United are looking to sign young talents this summer with a new forward among Jason Wilcox’s targets.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has long been clear that signing the ‘stars of tomorrow’ is the transfer philosophy that Manchester United are working under for the foreseeable.
Rumoured targets ahead of this summer window have ticked this box, with Jason Wilcox taking a leading role in recruitment.
Chris Rigg seems like a nailed-on target for United, with his talent in the midfield fitting the bill of Ineos’ dream signings. Similarly to this, fellow English starlet Tyler Dibling is the subject of heavy interest from United.
United have cast their net further than domestically though, with Europe and South America having several exciting options for the Red Devils. This has already been acted upon with United swooping to sign Diego Leon.
Now, Greece seems to be the destination of one target as United make contact.

Manchester United in contact for Charalampos Kostoulas
Greece is quite a hotbed for talent right now, with United keen on signing Olympiacos’ Christos Mouzakitis, who has been likened to the quality of a young Andres Iniesta.
But it is now his teammate, Charalampos Kostoulas, who United have swooped to sign with contact now made with Olympiacos.
This is according to Greek outlet SporTime, and journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos.
It is claimed that United have contacted Olympiacos for Kostoulas with a £25m asking price expected to be demanded by the Greek Super League giants.
However, a stumbling block comes as Olympiacos are not considering selling their wonderkid forward during the summer period.
What would Charalampos Kostoulas bring to Manchester United?
Signing Kostoulas would be an interesting, but exciting move from United as the 17-year-old is showing signs of having all the tools to be a future great striker.
Kostoulas has been ranked as the youngster with the fourth-highest potential in world football by Transfer Room.
This season he has begun breaking out into a star for the Greek side, scoring six goals this season and playing a key role in the Europa League.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Super League 1 | 21 | 6 | 1 |
| Europa League | 8 | 0 | 1 |
| Kypello Elladas | 4 | 0 | 0 |
Kostoulas has been compared by Jacek Kulig with Edinson Cavani and also Karim Benzema for his movement, instinct, technique and finishing in front of goal while his work rate also stands out.
It would be interesting to see where Kostoulas fits into the striking department with Chido Obi already filling the role as a young super kid in attack, although United do need more options. Having Obi and Kostoulas behind a Victor Osimhen for example would be excellent for the club and fix the years of having no teeth up top.
