Manchester United are closing in on signing Matheus Cunha and also want to add another centre-forward to Ruben Amorim’s squad.
The end of the season has arrived and Manchester United have little time for rest.
United beat Aston Villa 2-0 on Sunday afternoon and now head towards a crucial transfer window.
Ruben Amorim needs to refresh his United squad and Alejandro Garnacho has already been told to leave Old Trafford.
Matheus Cunha is set to join United from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but that won’t be the end of the attacking recruitment.
United have spoken to Bryan Mbeumo and still want to add another true centre-forward amid Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles this season.

Manchester United agree Liam Delap terms
Liam Delap has become one of the key targets on United’s wish list.
The Ipswich Town striker worked with Jason Wilcox at Manchester City and impressed with 12 goals for the relegated Tractor Boys.
Delap can leave Ipswich for £30million thanks to a release clause in his contract, which became active once Ipswich’s relegation was confirmed.
United are at the table for Delap and ESPN claim that personal terms have now been agreed with the striker.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 13 | 38 | 11 | 15 | 12 | 42 | 44 | -2 | 48 | |
| 14 | 38 | 11 | 10 | 17 | 46 | 62 | -16 | 43 | |
| 15 | 38 | 11 | 9 | 18 | 44 | 54 | -10 | 42 | |
| 16 | 38 | 12 | 6 | 20 | 54 | 69 | -15 | 42 | |
| 17 | 38 | 11 | 5 | 22 | 64 | 65 | -1 | 38 |
That is certainly a step in the right direction, and a deal with Ipswich is now in place after United triggered that release clause.
The problem is that United are far from alone in chasing Delap, and whilst the striker has agreed on a move to Old Trafford, he has other options.
Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle United have all spoken to Delap and are hoping to win the race themselves.
United missing out on Europe may be a dent, but Delap’s connection with Wilcox could prove pivotal in the race.

United target Eberechi Eze
ESPN’s report also adds that United are interested in signing Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
United seemingly want two signings for the number 10 roles in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 approach.
Cunha will take one of those spots, but the likes of Mbuemo and now Eze are being eyed up for the other role.
Eze scored Palace’s winner in the FA Cup final against Manchester City and enjoyed another brilliant season, as shown in the stats above, provided by SofaScore.
Eze has previously been hailed as a ‘magician’ by Micah Richards on Sky Sports, and his flair in the final third could bring some invention to United’s dismal attack.
The former QPR talent turns 27 this summer and may feel that this is the right time to leave Palace and take the next step in his career.
United now appear to be keen, though Mbeumo seems to be ahead of him on the list of priorities right now.
