Things are looking up for Manchester United right now after the draw with Liverpool and things could get even better this week.
The January transfer window is in full effect, and despite every player being impressive against Liverpool in the 2-2 draw there is still a need to add players.
Diogo Dalot had his best game under Ruben Amorim on Sunday as he dominated down the left side both offensively and defensively.
But despite this, Manchester United’s big weak point remains the left wing-back position where Dalot is far from a natural.
So with that in mind, United are eyeing up possible additions, with a timeframe for the deal now being claimed according to reports.

Manchester United aiming to sign a left wing-back in the next few days
Ever since Amorim arrived at Old Trafford, the left wing-back position was tipped as a problem for his system with no clear option to naturally fulfil the role.
This problem runs back to the Erik ten Hag days, with both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia not trusted to remain fit.
Now, according to a report from GiveMeSport, United are aiming to fix this problem over the next few days.
United are aiming for a wing-back in the coming days instead of letting the search drag on for the rest of the window.
The club internally reportedly intends for this week to be a defining one in their bid to sign someone to solve this problem position with it also being claimed that United are taking the availability of Nuno Mendes more seriously.
Patrick Dorgu now being considered by Jason Wilcox
Despite Mendes being among the top targets, he is far from the only one – Sporting Lisbon’s Maxi Araujo is tipped to be one option.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that United are set to consider a move to sign Danish wonderkid Patrick Dorgu.
The Leece left-back ticks practically every single box United have for a wing-back under Amorim and he also fits the trend of signing young players which Ineos are keen to uphold.
Dorgu could cost as much as £35m, however considering the transformational impact he would have – it is a deal that we would look back on as a bargain for United.
Jason Wilcox will have two priorities this month, with a new striker and a left wing-back seen as the two weak areas – well adding Dorgu would completely fix that for the next decade.
