Radek Vitek has been a standout performer in Manchester United’s pre-season matches so far this summer.
In the 1-0 defeat to Wrexham, United fans singled out Vitek for praise after his second-half display. After the 5-0 win over Rosenborg, it was Michael Carrick who praised Vitek for keeping a clean sheet in Norway.
However, Vitek made it clear he wants to leave and pursue regular first-team football, whether that be on loan or in a permanent exit.

Last season, Vitek was outstanding for Bristol City on loan, standing out as one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship. He won Bristol City’s Player of the Year award, Young Player of the Year award, and Players’ Player of the Year award.
Just last year, that was enough for James Trafford to earn a £27 million move to Manchester City. A record fee for a British goalkeeper.
Vitek has the same portfolio as Trafford did, graduating from a top-tier Premier League academy and then shining in the Championship.

If United are going to sell Vitek permanently this summer, then matching the Trafford fee should be United’s expectation.
Selling Vitek is a big test for Ineos, who have proven themselves to be competent at signing players, but their selling ability is yet to be seen.
