Manchester United could have a vastly different first-team squad this time next year, with 2025 set to see the end for multiple players.
Ineos’ overhaul sees just six players safe right now, a number which seems to be dropping by the week.
As Manchester United’s poor run of form persists, Ruben Amorim will be learning a lot about his team and who has a future at the club.
This week has seen the future of Joshua Zirkzee cast into doubt.
Zirkzee has decided he wants to exit Old Trafford, with his treatment from United fans after being hooked against Newcastle no doubt a deciding factor.
Juventus are one club keen to bring Zirkzee back to Italy, and now the Turin-based giants are also keen on another United player.

Juventus looking at Tyrell Malacia for January loan
Zirkzee’s compatriot Tyrell Malacia is also earning the interest of Juventus, with the Dutch left-back not endearing himself to Amorim so far.
Malacia returned from a 19-month absence under Amorim’s leadership but has quickly lost the favour which saw him start a handful of games.
Now, Italian outlet Tutto Juve has claimed Malacia will leave United in January.
The 25-year-old is viewed as a loan opportunity for Juventus in a bid to replace outgoing versatile defender Danilo – who is set for an exit.
Juventus see Malacia as a defender capable of filling in as a full-back, but also as a centre-back in a back three – which is also a position United are thin.
Malacia departing on loan would be good news for one man within Carrington.
Manchester United losing Malacia opens door for Harry Amass
So while it is hardly ideal to lose the only senior natural left-back available to Amorim, it could be a golden chance for 17-year-old Harry Amass.
Despite an excellent pre-season, Amass has yet to make his competitive debut for United with his physicality seen as a problem by Erik ten Hag.
Amass has earned comparisons with Luke Shaw for his excellent technical ability and threat offensively. Interestingly for Amass, Amorim’s wing-back system would take the burden off him defensively which could mean previous concerns are no more.
Amass has been linked with a loan exit in January, but surely if Malacia goes he will stay with excellent chances of stepping up as Amorim will trust the youth at some point.
