Manchester United are far from done in the transfer window despite having already spent £200 million this summer.

Fans at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon were able to give a warm welcome to all four summer arrivals so far, including £66m signing Benjamin Sesko.

He joins Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon as new additions to Ruben Amorim’s squad this summer, but Ineos are still scouring the market for other opportunities.

United have approached Brighton for Carlos Baleba, and talks are ongoing for Ineos to make a big-money move for the impressive midfielder.

Another area United are looking to strengthen is the goalkeeping department, and the Red Devils have been linked to one of the world’s best.

Man United target Gianluigi Donnarumma nominated for Ballon d’Or

With the future of Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir uncertain, United have shown interest in Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer.

United have a long-term interest in Donnarumma with former manager Jose Mourinho trying to sign him in 2017.

Donnarumma’s contract talks with PSG have not gone well, meaning the Italian shot-stopper is available this summer.

Not only would United be snapping up a recent Champions League winner, but Donnarumma has now also been nominated for the Ballon d’Or.

At the age of 26, Donnarumma has already won the Yashin Trophy, the Italian Golden Boy award and has been named in the official Champions League Team of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.

It can be argued he has not yet even reached his prime.

‘Unbelievable’ Gianluigi Donnarumma is available for just £26m

Speaking of his incredible performances in the Champions League, Declan Rice hailed Donnarumma as “unbelievable” after Arsenal were knocked out by PSG.

Donnarumma was pivotal to PSG’s Ligue 1 and Champions League success, but a move to the Premier League reportedly excites him.

According to talkSPORT’s Anil Kandola, Donnarumma “wants” to join United this summer with PSG open to a £26 million move.

The report adds that United are yet to make a move for Donnarumma, but it seems as though he is a very realistic option for Ineos.

One stumbling block will be Donnarumma’s wages, but signing the best will never come cheap.
