Manchester United will go into “sell to buy” mode after potentially signing Bryan Mbeumo which means the future of many players at the club is going to be under scrutiny.
For some, it’s decided. The likes of Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford have played their last game for Man Utd barring something extraordinary happening.
Others are still the subject of transfer speculation, like Antony or Alejandro Garnacho, who is garnering interest from Premier League teams and could be set for an exit.
Amid all the transfer talks, one Man Utd player linked with an exit this summer has sent a clear message about his future to end all speculation.

Rasmus Hojlund sends Man Utd message
Now that United are targeting two No. 10s in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, it’s clear that some outgoings will need to materialise for them to buy a striker.
What better player to sell to buy a striker than the incumbent striker who has failed to light up Old Trafford?
Rasmus Hojlund has been linked with an exit from Man Utd this summer, with Inter Milan’s interest the most concrete one.
United’s asking price for Hojlund makes him worth it for his potential, as clubs will have seen that the player can flourish after leaving United.
Italian clubs will have even more incentive to buy since they’ve seen the success of Scott McTominay, but Hojlund has now spoken his side of the story.
He ended all speculation over his future by sending a clear message (via Danish outlet Bold):
“I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United. I’m looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I’m fully dedicated to the project that’s underway. I know I can’t get much out of reading things.
“I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030. I expect to play there, so I’m just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good preseason.”
Things can change for Hojlund
While the message from Hojlund is as clear as it can be, things can still change quickly in the transfer window.
He only needs to look at his club captain Bruno Fernandes, whose transfer saga with Al-Hilal went from “Nothing in it” to “seriously considering” and then back to “firmly staying” in a matter of one week.
At the end of the day, if Hojlund is told that he won’t play many games for United next season and they need to sell him to fund an incoming, then he might become open to a move.
The chance to resurrect his career elsewhere could also be an attractive one after feeling burdened by Old Trafford for two struggling seasons.
At the same time, if he doesn’t want to leave, then the club can’t do much to force him. At least, unlike Sancho, Hojlund can always be relied upon to remain a model professional who will give his all in any appearance he gets.
