The fate of this season at Manchester United will be decided by the Europa League final but the club are not waiting for that to move in the transfer market.
Man Utd could very well seal three signings before the window even begins, with the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik followed by Matheus Cunha’s transfer.
They’ve also zeroed in on Liam Delap as the priority striker target, holding face-to-face talks with his representatives recently.
Amid all of this going on, Fabrizio Romano has laid out the way ahead for the club after these three deals and it’s an exciting one.

Man Utd’s transfer update after Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap
Cunha and Delap were widely expected to be the first two dominos for Man Utd for the summer, while Enzo Kana-Biyik is the low-risk punt on a young player.
However, beyond those three, United’s plans have been unclear. Will they go for another experienced striker to help Delap?
What about a ball-progressing midfielder or a dynamic wing-back? The goalkeeping situation is a mess as well and needs addressing.
As per Fabrizio Romano, United’s transfer priority is something else entirely and it shows that Ruben Amorim has identified the biggest issue at the club.
He said: “My information is that Man Utd can also add one more in the kind of No. 10 position to add behind the striker. There is a possibility but will be based on outgoings. Cunha is expected to join, then one more player depending on the outgoing.”
Ruben Amorim’s Man Utd transfer priority clear
Amorim had said after the January transfer window that the club was taking a risk by going into the rest of the season undermanned.
Two attackers- Antony and Marcus Rashford left and nobody joined, and United’s attacking ranks were left extremely thin.
Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles have compounded that issue and it’s clear that Amorim is not having a repeat of that next season.
An attacking overhaul of resources is firmly on the agenda, while Romano’s assertion that it could depend on outgoings is a warning sign for Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho’s transfer will be a mistake, but if the squad is to be shaped in Amorim’s vision, they might look at him as a sellable asset to get a more proven player in.
Either way, changes are coming at Man Utd and the attacking third will see the most movement. It’s expected and deserved after such a wretched effort all season.
