Marcus Rashford’s future remains uncertain this summer despite a fine season for Barcelona, much to the frustration of Manchester United.
Last summer, Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona on loan with a £26m buy-option, which many assumed would be triggered, given it is probably half his actual value.
But even after a 28-goal contribution season, Barcelona have never committed to Rashford, with the past few days leaving the loanee in the cold.
Barcelona’s signing of Anthony Gordon has only added to this, with the Catalan side claiming they can’t afford Rashford but spending well over double on an inferior player.
Now Rashford’s stance on the situation is revealed.

Marcus Rashford’s stance on returning to Manchester United
In the aftermath of Gordon signing for Barcelona, Rashford’s people claimed that it wasn’t going to prevent the buy option being triggered, with the forward holding out hope.
But with Barcelona also pushing for Bernardo Silva, Rashford’s dream move could soon fall through.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, even if this is the case, Rashford’s mind is made up.
The Spanish outlet claims Rashford has no interest in returning to Old Trafford and isn’t considering any other options right now.
This is after Hansi Flick told Rashford he wanted to keep him, only for Barcelona to seemingly look elsewhere.
It also seems Barcelona haven’t exactly closed the door either.

Barcelona plotting an embarrassing offer for Rashford
For Rashford to push so hard for this move and cut ties with United in the manner he has done, Barcelona’s lack of desire to sign him is sad to see.
According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona are still planning to try to sign Rashford, just for even less than the already agreed-upon cheap fee.
The report claims that Barcelona are now planning to bid just £13m for Rashford this summer.
If United hold out for the full fee, Rashford won’t be joining Barcelona again this summer.
Should Barcelona really offer this much, United shouldn’t even bother replying and just take Rashford back. The Spanish side have the money, as seen with Gordon, Silva’s wage demands, and bids for Julian Alvarez.
Rashford should also take a look in the mirror after this and maybe open his mind to a return.
