Manchester United have already signed one Brazilian this summer, and they’re the ideal landing spot for another, it seems.
The signing of Ederson will replace the outgoing Casemiro to keep the Brazilian flavour balanced in the team.
The midfield, however, needs more than just one player, especially with Ederson’s adaptation period taken away from him due to the World Cup call-up.
Enter another Brazilian, who finds Man Utd as his ideal landing spot this summer after a season of ‘storming form’.

Now the Ederson deal is agreed… WHO SHOULD BE MAN UTD’S NEXT TARGET?
Let us know who should be signing number two…
Man Utd ideal for Danilo in Brazil
Signing a player straight from the Brazilian league is a risk, but what if that player is already proven in the Premier League?
That’s the unique situation Danilo Santos finds himself in this summer after rediscovering his form in his country this season.
Danilo was sold to Botafogo last summer after failing to stand out for Nottingham Forest, and he took the Brazilian league by storm.
Despite playing as an all-action midfielder, the left-footed Brazilian finished the season with seven goals and two assists in 12 league games.
His left-footedness and strength in the tackle, and his eye for goalscoring make him an attractive target for teams, and South American football expert Tim Vickery has said that Danilo’s ambitions make Man Utd ideal.
He said [via Market Madness Live podcast]: “Danilo, he’s now being known as Danilo Santos, so he’s not confused with the veteran defender, Danilo. That is Santos’ left-footed midfielder, very dynamic, who had a spell with Nottingham Forest, which ended with serious injury, has been in storming form back home in Brazil for Botafogo and will be on the move after this World Cup.
“So he has a real chance to put himself in the shop window, and I think what he would like is a Premier League club that is in the Champions League, so watch out for that one.”
Danilo could be a low-risk addition
Danilo is unlikely to cost a king’s ransom as the likes of Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson, and would come to Old Trafford in the form of his life.
Name one SURPRISE signing or exit you want to see at Man Utd this summer
It could be one nobody is talking about yet… Omar Berrada says Ineos are preparing for unexpected transfers"
There are worries that he didn’t play his best football in the Premier League, but Nottingham Forest haven’t exactly been a beacon of stability.
Even Anderson fought relegation the whole season with Forest, and the numbers speak for themselves for Danilo right now.
He could be a relatively risk-free addition to round out the edges of the midfield rebuild and add numbers to that position.
That’s a low-risk, high-reward move if he keeps up his current form at Man Utd. If he doesn’t, then United can simply sell him back to the Brazilian league without much of a hit because he’s still an international with a proven record in his country.
