Manchester United are giving a new meaning to being “proactive” in the market with their transfer business picking up pace in April!

Man Utd’s interest in Matheus Cunha is developing quickly, from being identified as a top target to the positive talks with Wolves for the player.

Cunha can shine at a big club like Man Utd as he seems like the type of player who relishes the big stage, which is why Man Utd fans are mostly giddy at the prospect of his signing.

Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest on Cunha to Man Utd and the update proves what the fans have believed all this time.

Matheus Cunha to Man Utd latest

With a release clause of £62.5 million, Cunha was always expected to be a deal that was straightforward as long as a club was willing to pay that clause.

United can, much like they did with Joshua Zirkzee, pay that clause in installments to smoothen the financial blow.

United have had positive Cunha talks, with the player extremely keen on the move, further backing the claim about the club’s pulling power being ever so strong.

The latest example to back that claim has come about in Romano’s latest update on the player’s future, with the transfer insider saying that Champions League football is a non-issue for Cunha.

Romano said: “Manchester United mantain optimism for Matheus Cunha deal as the club feels he really wants the move.

“UCL football not expected to be a factor with Cunha keen on the move, as Man United would be ready to pay £62.5m clause in installments if Wolves approve.”

Man Utd fans’ belief proven right again

It has been said time and again that the charm and lure of playing for Man Utd outweighs the current reality of the club’s situation.

The club memorably secured the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, to name a few, before a season that had them in the Europa League.

United remains the talk of the town despite being nowhere near contention for a European place, let alone a Champions League place or title contention.

The hypothetical scenario of wanting to be the one who carries the club back to the promised land is just too enticing for elite-level sportspeople to ignore.

Cunha’s stance on UCL football with regards to his Man Utd move again lends credence to the thought that the club’s pulling power remains unparalleled in English football.

No other club in any league that’s firmly in the bottom half of the league table can say the same.
