Marcus Rashford’s time at Manchester United could be drawing to a close with Aston Villa leading the race.
After a month of speculation which saw Marcus Rashford linked with most of Europe, he now seems to be edging toward a move to Villa Park.
David Ornstein broke this story on Saturday, claiming that Villa were close to agreeing a deal to sign Rashford on loan from Manchester United.
As this move started to develop, it was reported elsewhere that United had approached Bayern Munich for Mathys Tel – a direct replacement for Rashford.
Now, there have been further developments on Rashford’s future which push the deal closer to the finish line.

Marcus Rashford agrees to join Aston Villa
Rashford wants to leave, and at this point, there is no real way back at United – it would be very awkward. This is despite Rashford originally wanting a move to Barcelona.
So it is no shock he is willing to move to Aston Villa. Now, Fabrizio Romano has taken to X, claiming that the 27-year-old had given the green light.
Rashford has agreed personal terms to join Villa according to the transfer expert, with the deal viewed as being imminent with the green light already given.
United and Villa are closing in on an agreement, with the buy option now the big talking point in conversations.
By the sounds of how progressed this deal is, Rashford could be gone long before Monday’s debut. This would give United plenty of time to make a move for Tel, who seems to be the top option for Amorim’s attacking reinforcements.

How Unai Emery convinced Rashford to join Villa
Villa manager Unai Emery had demanded Rashford be signed, and it now appears he is going to get his wish.
However, one may wonder how Villa managed to convince Rashford to join them, well Romano also reported this.
Romano claims that Emery actually called Rashford up to talk with him about joining the Villa – and used two things to win him over with the side sitting eight points above United an attractive prospect.
