Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Bayern Munich star Noussair Mazraoui as Erik ten Hag is closing in on his next summer signing for Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag has seen the arrival of two major summer signings so far under Ineos and Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The Red Devils signed Netherlands striker Joshua Zirkzee from Serie A side Bologna in a deal worth £36.54m earlier this month.
Following the signing of Joshua Zirkzee, United turned their attention to Leny Yoro and landed the highly rated Frenchman ahead of Real Madrid.
The Red Devils snapped up the 18-year-old centre-back, who suffered an injury in pre-season, in an initial deal worth £52.18m from Ligue 1 outfit Lille.
Despite the attacking and defensive reinforcement, United have still been linked with several players and the Red Devils are keen to bolster other key positions.
United have been heavily linked with Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite and Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt in recent weeks.
The Red Devils are believed to be interested in adding to the first team’s midfield ranks and Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte has been linked with the club.

Romano shares update on Man Utd transfer
Manchester United have offloaded several first-team players this summer to free up wages and release funds to make new signings.
Willy Kambwala was sold to La Liga club Villarreal for an initial £4.63m fee, while Donny van de Beek was shipped off to Girona for an initial £420,600 fee.
Mason Greenwood made his exit from Old Trafford and signed for Marseille, while Alvaro Fernandez was sold to Primeira Liga club Benfica.
Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has revealed that United are still keen on signing Noussair Mazraoui this summer.
Noussair Mazraoui has been included in the Bayern Munich squad for the club’s Audi Summer Tour 2024 in Seoul, South Korea.
However, Romano has revealed that the 26-year-old Bayern Munich right-back still wants to sign for United, despite his presence on the pre-season tour.
The 31-year-old Italian transfer expert added that personal terms have been agreed, but the move is dependent on Aaron Wan-Bissaka moving to West Ham.
“Noussair Mazraoui’s presence with Bayern squad doesn’t change his plan: he wants to join Manchester United,” Romano wrote.
“Bayern are informed about his desire and personal terms agreed, open to give the green light to the move.
“All parties waiting for Wan-Bissaka and West Ham.”
Man Utd on Wan-Bissaka and Mazraoui
Noussair Mazraoui appeared close to signing for West Ham this summer before United entered the race to sign the Bayern Munich defender.
The Morocco international played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax and United believe that Mazraoui’s arrival at Old Trafford could help support Antony on the right flank.
According to BBC Sport, West Ham have expressed an interest in Aaron Wan-Bissaka after missing out on signing former Ajax star Mazraoui.
Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order under Ten Hag, who prefers United star Diogo Dalot at right-back, and is believed to be ‘assessing his options.’
BBC Sport reports that the 26-year-old United right-back, who is out of contract with the club in 2025, has had his stance “softening” on a move to West Ham.
