Manchester United ace could now sign for Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo wants the deal to happen

Manchester United are unlikely to do big business in January unless sales materialise – and one high earner could be on his way out.

Ruben Amorim wanted an improved start to 2025 after five defeats in six Premier League games to end 2024.

Manchester United players somewhat delivered, producing a strong display to draw 2-2 at Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

United were strong and spirited off the ball but braver on the ball than we have seen in recent games.

That performance has sparked some hope for United fans but Amorim will still need plenty of signings in 2025 to make real progress.

Amorim isn’t expecting a major January though and certainly needs players to leave in order to make new signings.

Manchester United ace wanted in Saudi Arabia

United will be looking to offload big earners in 2025 and Casemiro certainly fits the bill.

Casemiro joined United from Real Madrid in 2022 with the Brazilian arriving in a big-money move – both in terms of fee and wages.

The Brazilian enjoyed a fine debut season at Old Trafford but struggled last season, particularly towards the back end of the campaign.

Casemiro was linked with Al-Nassr over the summer but no move to Saudi Arabia materialised.

Now in and out of the United side, Casemiro is surely on his way out in 2025 – and the Saudi Arabia links are back again.

The Telegraph claim that the Saudi Pro League want to sign Casemiro and place him at Al-Nassr.

Seko Fofana has left Al-Nassr for Rennes whilst Anderson Taslica is set to leave for a move to Fenerbahce.

That has cleared room to potentially sign Casemiro, with the Saudi Pro League signing players themselves before deciding which club in which to place them.

Cristiano Ronaldo stance on Casemiro deal

A move to Al-Nassr would see Casemiro join forces with Cristiano Ronaldo once again.

The pair played together at Real Madrid and won it all in the Spanish capital before joining forces again at Old Trafford.

Casemiro and Ronaldo couldn’t bring that same success to United but they could chase success in Saudi Arabia together.

The Telegraph claim that Ronaldo is keen to see Casemiro join him as he feels Al-Nassr need more quality.

Casemiro could be the man and United would surely be happy for him to leave and take his huge wages off the payroll.

United would surely need another midfielder to come in and replace Casemiro, but they would surely be younger and cheaper in terms of wages as Amorim looks to mould his squad.
