The agent of Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri has confirmed that he will fly to Spain today with the Premier League benchwarmer joining La Liga strugglers Granada on loan for the remainder of the season.
With the Uruguayan’s departure now imminent, Facundo Pellistri is set take the number of players loaned out by the Red Devils since the turn of the year to a round ten.
Granada, after days of protracted negotiations, appear to have finally struck a deal to sign the £9 million winger on a temporary basis. And Pellistri, who has started only one Premier League game for Manchester United all season, will be hoping to make a more positive first impression than Hannibal Mejbri did down in Andalusia, following in his footsteps and joining the tough-tackling Tunisian on Spanish soil.

Facundo Pellistri is leaving Manchester United
“He leaves at 3pm from Manchester and we are waiting for him,” explains Edgardo Lasalvia, Pellistri’s agent, speaking to Sport890.
“The loan is until June and we came (to Granada) looking for minutes.”
Pellistri, Lasalvia adds, has had no fewer than three rounds of talks Granada’s head coach Alexander Medina. He arrives to strengthen a side sitting 19th in La Liga, five points adrift of safety. Granada were beaten 2-0 by Getafe on Monday night, a game in which fellow Manchester United-owned forward Mason Greenwood found the net.
“Granada have agreed on terms for Facundo Pellistri to join on loan from Man United,” Fabrizio Romano wrote on X on Monday, Erik ten Hag seemingly giving the deal the green light in the last 24 hours or so.
“All parties waiting for final approval by United manager. Documents and also travel being prepared then… here we go.”
Winger joining Hannibal Mejbri in Spain
Pellistri could find himself going head-to-head with Hannibal in May, providing the midfielder is back in the Sevilla squad by then.
Hannibal, perhaps fortunate to avoid a red card on his La Liga debut, was left out of the squad for Sunday’s trip to Osasuna with head coach Quique Sanchez Flores insisting that the all-action midfielder has a lot to learn, not only on the pitch but off it too.
