Manchester United are close to signing off another loan exit before the transfer deadline.

This transfer window has seen a succession of exits at Manchester United, with a large squad gradually being trimmed down.

The latest player lined up to leave is winger Facundo Pellistri, who is closing in on a move to Spanish side Granada.

Granada previously had Alvaro Fernandez on loan, before that deal was cut short, with the defender joining Benfica on loan.

Facundo Pellistri loan close

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the status of Facundo Pellistri’s departure, with manager Erik ten Hag just needing to sign it off.

He reports via X: “Granada have agreed on terms for Facundo Pellistri to join on loan from Man United. …but deal now depends on Erik ten Hag’s green light.

“All parties waiting for final approval by #MUFC manager, documents and also travel being prepared then… here we go.”

Pellistri needs next move

Facundo Pellistri has played more for Manchester United this season than any previous campaign, yet is still not a regular starter.

He has been unable to win over manager Erik ten Hag, and it is expected the Uruguayan’s loan deal will be approved.

The 22-year-old was an unused substitute against Newport and has played just three minutes of a possible 270 in 2024 to date.

A move to relegation threatened Granada will not be an easy one for him to thrive in, but it will at least provide a chance for him to play on a regular basis.
