Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has had something of a renaissance for the Red Devils during the 2024/25 campaign.
During the summer transfer window, Christian Eriksen was heavily linked with a return to Dutch giants Ajax but Erik ten Hag decided to keep the Dane at Manchester United.
Eriksen has been one of a few solid performers for United during this current campaign with the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder playing a key role in the midfield department amid Manuel Ugarte’s struggles at Old Trafford.
Here is everything you need to know about the Danish playmaker.

Where and when was Christian Eriksen born?
Christian Dannemann Eriksen was born on the 14th February 1992. Eriksen was born in Middelfart which is a small town located in central Denmark.
How tall is Christian Eriksen?
Physicality is certainly not one of the big parts of Christian Eriksen’s game with the Danish midfielder coming in at 1.82 metres tall, which is the equivalent of 6 foot.
Christian Eriksen shirt number
Since moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2022, Eriksen has worn the number 14 shirt for the Red Devils. That shirt number has been previously worn by Jesse Lingard, Javier Hernandez and Alan Smith.

How much did Manchester United spend on Christian Eriksen?
After returning to Premier League football at Thomas Frank’s Brentford, the Dane was in demand with Tottenham and United keen on the midfielder.
The Red Devils would sign Eriksen on a free transfer, which proved to be a pivotal signing under Ten Hag.
Christian Eriksen’s Manchester United wages
The trade-off of signing Eriksen on a free transfer for United is the wages that the experienced Danish midfielder would be paid.
Eriksen is earning the eighth highest amount of money at United with the former Ajax ace being paid £150,000 a week.
Christian Eriksen’s heart condition
The career of the midfielder has been an extraordinary one. During Euro 2020 – which was played in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic – Eriksen collapsed during Denmark’s defeat against Finland.
Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during that Euro 2020 match in June. He was fitted with an ICD – implantable cardioverter defibrillator – which is “necessary due to rhythm disturbances”, Danish team doctor Morten Boesen said as per the BBC.
Incredibly, just eight months later, Eriksen returned to professional football with Brentford against Newcastle United.
