Manchester United’s Europa League win has just made the Premier League campaign exciting too because the fans are about to witness some debuts.

Ruben Amorim admitted to taking “risks” with the youngsters in the league as Europa League and the three potential games there becoming top priority.

Man Utd fans have been long calling for some more debuts, given how impressively the academy sides have performed, particularly the U18s.

Even those who have been given their debuts haven’t disappointed, with Chido Obi, Harry Amass, and Ayden Heaven all impressing.

Here are the top three contenders who could join them for the game against Wolves and beyond –

Jaydan Kamason

Apart from Amorim’s general point about leaning towards playing the youngsters, he named one player who’s struggling in particular.

Diogo Dalot has been a picture of consistency and availability under multiple managers now and Amorim said after Lyon that he’s tired.

Dalot is crucial to this side so giving him a rest against Wolves after playing a brutal 120 minutes on Thursday makes sense.

Enter Jaydan Kamason, the breakout challenger to Dalot who’s taken the U18s league by storm with his breathless attacking play.

Kamason is becoming impossible to ignore for Amorim and co and that’s reflected in him being called up to the first-team training and squad for the Europa League games.

He’ll finally make the step up in the games going forward. If he looks up to it, then Dalot can get precious rest.

Jack Moorhouse

Moorhouse has long been on the cusp of Man Utd breakout and he’s been talked about in youth circles with great excitement for his skill set.

Joshua Zirkzee’s injury also means that Ruben Amorim is short of options to play behind the striker, paving the way for Moorhouse’s breakout.

Of all the players in the academy right now who are yet to debut, Jack Moorhouse looks the closest to making the grade and genuinely becoming a first-team player.

That ascent should start in these next six Premier League games with hopefully some good displays.

Godwill Kukonki

Godwill Kukonki was widely expected to be the first debutant under Amorim as the staff praised him as soon as they came in.

However, Ayden Heaven arrived in January and he took to senior football like it was the most usual thing in the world.

Kukonki is effectively Ayden Heaven 2.0 with his strong, physical frame combined with on-ball skills and left-footedness.

Therefore, Heaven’s breakout temporarily closed the door for Kukonki to break through and as a result, he was sent to the back of the line.

Heaven is being treated carefully after his return so the chances are that United unleash the Ayden Heaven they already had in their ranks instead.
