Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos regime should stick with one Manchester United strategy over Marcus Rashford after Barcelona’s move for Anthony Gordon this summer.
Anthony Gordon will leave St James’ Park and become a Barcelona player from 1st July after Barcelona agreed to sign the 25-year-old Newcastle winger last month.
Barcelona unveiled Gordon at the Camp Nou and the La Liga club have agreed to pay a hefty £69.3m transfer fee for the World Cup-bound England international.
Gordon’s move to the Spanish champions has been a real spanner in the works for Marcus Rashford, whose loan deal with Barcelona expires at the end of June.

What’s YOUR message to Marcus Rashford after Barcelona’s deal for Anthony Gordon?
Should Man Utd use this reality check to try and bring Rashford back?
Ineos need to turn to the World Cup and bank on Marcus Rashford’s Barcelona form to shine at the tournament for England
Marcus Rashford’s permanent move to Barcelona is up in the air after the Anthony Gordon news, despite impressing during his loan spell at the Camp Nou.
Manchester United included a £30.3m buy option in the 28-year-old England international’s deal with the La Liga club in the 2025 summer transfer window.
Rashford is set to head off to the World Cup — alongside Barcelona summer signing Gordon — after being called up to the England squad under Thomas Tuchel.
The on-loan Man Utd forward has done more than enough to impress at Barcelona and could find himself starting for England ahead of Newcastle winger Gordon.
A solid run of form at the World Cup in North America could put eyes on Rashford and spark new interest in the Three Lions international’s availability this summer.
Ineos might be able to lure other clubs to the negotiation table and the buy option that was set for Barcelona at £30.3m could still be met for Rashford in the end.
Marcus Rashford evidently does not want to return to Man Utd – There is no way back for him surely?!

Ineos must not ‘panic sell’ Marcus Rashford if Barcelona do not sign the England and Man Utd star
The summer transfer window is not formally open — the starting date is 15th June — and the Red Devils have time on their side to find a suitable buyer for Rashford.
Rashford’s sale is majorly important to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s regime due to the existing Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) that are in place.
While Rashford’s wages at Man Utd could be an obstacle for the most part, the Red Devils star has been able to show his quality is still there after his Barcelona run.
It is all down to Ineos not to panic sell Rashford for a lower price when time is on their side and the World Cup could bring more interest in the Barcelona forward if he delivers.
