Manchester United made a host of coaching changes over the summer and have now added another new coach for the youth setup.
Last season simply wasn’t good enough for Manchester United and Ineos have brought major changes.
United revamped Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff as Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake arrived in coaching roles.
Andreas Georgson also joined, quitting his post as Lillestrom boss to join up with United.
A new goalkeeping coach arrived too as Jelle ten Rouwelaar jilted Ajax for a move to Old Trafford.
United have now added one more new face – and potentially disappointed the likes of Gary Neville and Paul Scholes in the process.

Manchester United snatch Salford City coach
The Sun’s Alan Nixon reports that United are adding Simon Wiles to the coaching setup at youth level.
It’s stated that Wiles is going to become United’s new Under-16 coach after he decided to leave Salford City.
Wiles has been serving as a first-team coach at Salford City, the club owned by Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham.
Salford announced last week that Wiles had decided to leave the club ‘for an opportunity with a Premier League club’.
Salford did not name the club involved but it appears that United are the club involved, handing Wiles a chance to coach in the youth setup.
Who is Simon Wiles?
Wiles hails from Preston but started his career with Preston North End’s bitter rivals Blackpool.
A midfielder in his playing days, Wiles turned out for Blackpool, Macclesfield Town, Dunfermline Athletic, Barrow, Chorley, Salford City and Bamber Bridge.
Wiles started his coaching career towards the end of his playing days, coaching the Under-10’s at Blackpool.
Bamber Bridge allowed Wiles to become first-team coach and assistant manager alongside his playing duties, but he moved on to Fleetwood Town in 2018.
Wiles started by coaching the Under-18 side but stepped up as interim manager for the first team after Joey Barton’s exit in 2021.
Wiles returned to Salford City in 2022 and became caretaker boss following Neil Wood’s departure last season.
Now heading to United, Wiles will be charged with the task of helping develop some of United’s top young talents in the years to come.
