Manchester United’s transfer budget for this summer is unclear, especially with a supporter led anti-Glazer campaign putting off sponsors.
The club’s scouts will have been busy regardless, ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
One new player to be linked is young prospect Kamaldeen Sulemana, with The Mail reporting United’s interest in the player.
So who exactly is the promising Sulemana? Here is a look at five facts about the player…

1) Kamaldeen Sulemana plays for Danish side FC Nordsjælland, who are fifth in the country’s SuperLiga. He signed a five-year deal with the club last year.
2) Sulemana, 19, came to Europe after playing in Ghana’s Right To Dream academy, which was founded in 1999 by former Manchester United scout Tom Vernon.
3) The youngster plays as a left winger, and has scored nine goals and provided six assists this season.
4) Sulemana has already been capped twice by Ghana’s national team, making his debut at the end of 2020.
5) According to FBRef, Sulemana leads the Danish Super Liga among all players in ‘shots on target per 90 minutes’.
What they say…
The Mail report “Sulemana is tipped to become the most successful footballer from Ghana since Chelsea star Michael Essien.”
FC Midtylland defender Erik Sviatchenko is quoted by Goal: “When he plays simple and knows when to play the ball, he is amazing. He is fast, strong and has an understanding of the game like few others. He’s on his way to something big, and it’s a pleasure to be tested against one of the great talents in Europe.”
Nordsjaelland coach Flemming Pedersen even told TV3: “We are talking about a player with potential on a par with Neymar, and maybe even more than that, because he is even faster.”
The main threat
United face competition from Ajax, who signed his Ghanaian compatriot Mohammed Kudus from Nordsjaelland last summer.
Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has admitted via Goal that they are interested.
The Dutch club could be seen as a safer intermediate step for Sulemana’s development, and Kudus’ success at the club will help them out.

To consider…
Sulemana plays on the left wing and he could offer respite to Marcus Rashford in the position.
United though have young talent Anthony Elanga, who is coming off a terrific season for the under-23s and plays in the same role.
The Mail report United see Sulemana as a ‘safe investment’, with Goal report the winger could cost as little as £10 million, which is just slightly more than the fee Ajax paid for Kudus last summer.
