Viktor Gyokeres starred for Sweden as they beat Slovakia 2-1 in the Nations League on Saturday evening.
The 26-year-old started for his nation and it took only three minutes before he found the back of the net to continue his remarkable scoring streak.
Viktor Gyokeres has now scored a staggering 28 goals already this season with five of those coming while away on international duty.
Manchester United fans were blown away by Gyokeres after watching him score a hat-trick against Manchester City in what was Ruben Amorim‘s final home game at Sporting.
Since Amorim’s arrival at United as the club’s new head coach, rumours of Gyokeres following him to Old Trafford have been relentless.

Viktor Gyokeres linked with Man United move
It is just weeks until the January transfer window opens, but supporters should not get their hopes up about Gyokeres joining United over the winter.
Amorim will not sign any Sporting players in January, meaning the earliest a bid can be expected is in the summer.
Gyokeres has an agreement with Sporting that he can leave next summer for £63m, which aligns perfectly with when United could pounce for his signature.
Following Sweden’s win over Slovakia, Gyokeres responded to the Man United rumours by suggesting that Amorim already has strikers to work with in Manchester. A fair point, but interestingly he didn’t rule out a move.
A deal for Gyokeres should be a top priority for Amorim and he is showing exactly why that is the case with exceptional performances for club and country.
Swedish media rave about Viktor Gyokeres display vs Slovakia
Sweden have a deadly strike force with a partnership of Gyokeres and Newcastle forward Alexander Isak.
Both were on the scoresheet and both assisted each other for their goals. Gyokeres opened the scoring after just three minutes before missing another chance later in the first half.
After the full-time whistle, Swedish media were quick to give their verdict on his performance.
Svenskafans gave Gyokeres a 3/5 rating – the second-best in the match only behind Isak.
They added: “Set 1-0 up early and ran through soon after and could have killed the match but the finish was missed. Then had a little difficulty getting to more great opportunities. Working hard.”

Swedish outlet FotbollSkanalen gave Gyokeres a 4/5 rating – the joint-best on the pitch and wrote: “Gave the team a dream start after a good deep run and a rock-solid finish to 1-0. Should have made it 2-0 when he got free. Assisted for 2-1.”
Another report from FotbollSkanalen described Gyokeres’ goal as “ice-cold”: “Viktor Gyökeres moved deep and safely and ice-cold placed 1-0 at the far post.”
