Senne Lammens showed exactly what he is made of after the summer signing’s key interaction with a Manchester United teammate during a Carrington training session.
The 23-year-old Belgian shot-stopper was Manchester United’s fifth – and final – signing of the summer window and arrived at Old Trafford on deadline day.
United sealed their deal for Senne Lammens for an initial fee of £18.1m, with the Red Devils including add-ons in their transfer package to Royal Antwerp.
Lammens became a key United target in the late stages of the summer transfer window, with the Red Devils keen to bring in an alternative shot-stopping option.
The former Royal Antwerp star’s arrival at United also marked the end of Andre Onana’s spell at Old Trafford (for now) after the Cameroonian was loaned out.

Andre Onana signed for Turkish side Trabzonspor earlier this month and the 29-year-old Cameroon international’s run as Manchester United No 1 came to an end.
Senne Lammens is now in the perfect position to challenge for the United No 1 shirt, with Altay Bayindir acting as Ruben Amorim’s first-choice pick between the sticks.
But Altay Bayindir has far from convinced United fans that he can be the Red Devils’ No 1 and the 27-year-old Turkish shot-stopper is known for his error-prone ways.
Lammens took part in tactical drills on Tuesday at the Carrington training complex and the United summer signing impressed during one key moment.
Adam Marshall reported for Manchester United’s official website that he had his “first” look at Lammens and he made an “outstanding save” against Joshua Zirkzee.
He added that Joshua Zirkzee produced his effort at “close range,” which former Royal Antwerp star Lammens was able to handle in the session effectively.

United manager Ruben Amorim has not handed Senne Lammens his Red Devils debut after the Premier League club signed the former Belgian Pro League talent.
Lammens has been on the bench for United’s last two matches against Manchester City and Chelsea in the aftermath of the September international break.
Amorim has stuck with Altay Bayindir for now, but it is only a matter of time before Lammens marks his presence at United by making his debut for the Red Devils.
Lammens has been tipped as a long-term prospect at Old Trafford and the heir apparent to Onana for the United No 1 shirt under Red Devils boss Amorim.
