Ruben Amorim could see a significant boost to the prospects of a Manchester United wonderkid after the role that one youth academy talent is now performing.
The 40-year-old Manchester United manager is only a matter of days from returning to the dugout for the Red Devils’ next Premier League outing this season.
United travel to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon and the Red Devils will face Brentford in their final match in the month of September.
The Red Devils are currently 11th in the Premier League table under Ruben Amorim after last Saturday’s result, with United defeating Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford.
United and Chelsea saw out the second half with only 10 men each, with Robert Sanchez sent off for the Blues and Casemiro being dismissed for the Red Devils.

Man Utd academy talent Victor Musa is having a direct knock-on effect for Diego Leon at Old Trafford for all the right reasons
Diego Leon was one of Ruben Amorim’s five new summer signings to arrive at Old Trafford after he was signed from Paraguayan outfit Cerro Porteno.
The 18-year-old wonderkid, who can play as a left-back or left wing-back, has been included in the United youth academy and is viewed as a long-term prospect.
Diego Leon has played for United during the pre-season tour in the summer and is expected to play second fiddle to Patrick Dorgu for the left wing-back role.
The Paraguayan made his first appearance for United Under-21s on the weekend and played the full first half of the 2-1 win over Liverpool Under-21s.
Leon is in the United academy pool with Spain-born forward Victor Musa, who came on in the second half of United Under-21s’ clash at the Liverpool Training Centre.
The Daily Mail now reports that Victor Musa has taken on a role of ‘greater importance’ with the United U21s by ‘acting as translator’ for Leon.
Victor Musa and Diego Leon’s translator dynamic has small detail, despite benefiting the Man Utd wonderkid
Kobbie Mainoo revealed to Manchester United’s official website in August that Diego Leon “doesn’t speak much English,” but rated him as a “really powerful” player.
Leon was born in Paraguay and spent his entire youth and senior playing career with Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno before he officially arrived at United in the summer.
Victor Musa was born in Spain and the United attacking talent has represented his native homeland at youth level, as well as playing for England Under-16s.
According to The Daily Mail, there is only one catch to the 19-year-old forward’s role as a translator for Leon, who has been taking English lessons since his move.
The newspaper said that Musa speaks a ‘Basque version of Spanish’ and the contrast to Leon’s ‘Paraguayan dialect’ can mean that their communication is ‘not smooth all of the time.’
