Manchester United midfielder Dylan Levitt was selected to start in Wales’ friendly match with Finland last night.

The game was Wales’ first game since Euro 2020 and Levitt played all 90 minutes.

Rob Page selected an experimental lineup, with the likes of Gareth Bale and Dan James on the bench.

Wales drew the match 0-0, with Fulham’s Harry Wilson missing a first half penalty.

Levitt took his chance to impress, with his accurate passing (86 per cent) and nine ball recoveries on the night (FotMob).

The 20-year-old has left United on loan to join Dundee United, where he earned rave reviews from the fans for his debut performance.

And Page was impressed with his performance here, quoted by Wales Online calling Levitt ‘excellent’ in midfield.

Former Wales players Danny Gabbidon and Owain Tudor Jones were also clearly impressed watching on.

Wales Online rated Levitt’s performance as a 7/10, writing: “Sprayed a lovely ball to Wilson early on. Passed and moved the ball nicely. On and off the ball he was very good.”

The reaction of Wales fans on social media was also very positive, with Levitt’s performance rightly praised.
