Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim now has one key first-team Manchester United player at Old Trafford who doesn’t have “one specific position” on the pitch.
Ruben Amorim and his men are currently in the United States and the Red Devils will return to action on Thursday for another Premier League Summer Series match.
Manchester United travel to Illinois and will play Premier League side Bournemouth at the Soldier Field in Chicago, with kick-off slated for 2:30am UK time.
The Red Devils’ US leg of the pre-season tour kicked off last week and United defeated West Ham 2-1 in their Premier League Summer Series clash.
Bruno Fernandes netted a stunning brace for the Red Devils and United’s result against West Ham on Sunday was their first win of their pre-season campaign.
Amorim’s side kicked off their pre-season tour earlier this month in Sweden at the Strawberry Arena, with United securing a 0-0 draw against Leeds United in Solna.

Man Utd summer signing Bryan Mbeumo sends Ruben Amorim a clear-cut message about his role on the pitch
Bryan Mbeumo is expected to make his Manchester United debut during the US leg of the summer tour, but he is not set to play against Bournemouth at the Soldier Field.
United finally landed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford last week after the Red Devils’ third bid for the 25-year-old Cameroon international was accepted by the Bees.
The Red Devils’ deal with Premier League side Brentford for the French-born attacker eclipsed United’s transfer fee for Matheus Cunha’s move from Wolves.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Mbeumo has revealed that he can play as a No 10, a No 9 and as a winger and that he is “adaptable” with his role on the pitch.
However, the United summer signing made it clear that he is ready to play in “whatever position” that he is put in under United manager Ruben Amorim.
“I think now, in football, you have to be adaptable and be able to play in a few other positions than what you’d say is your best,” he told Rio Ferdinand.
“Obviously I’ve played as a winger mainly at Brentford, but I don’t have one specific position where I feel I can do the best.
“With Brentford, I used to also play as a No 10 in the pocket or even as a No 9. I can play all those positions.
“Whatever position the gaffer wants to put me out, I will play there.”
Bryan Mbeumo shows his elite mentality and Man Utd fans should be excited about the former Brentford ace’s arrival
United signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for an initial transfer fee of £65m this month, with a further £6m agreed in add-ons for the Cameroon and Bees winger.
Mbeumo, who was linked with Premier League side Tottenham this summer, is tipped to play in the right-sided No 10 role of Amorim’s tactical system for United.
The former Tottenham target has now admitted that he is “very demanding” of himself and Mbeumo highlighted his desire to continue improving as a player.
“I always want to be better than I was yesterday,” he added.
“I’m very demanding of myself and I always try to do the best. I don’t like to put limits on myself as well.”
Mbeumo impressed for Brentford under Thomas Frank last season and the United summer signing netted 20 times and registered nine assists in 42 matches.
