Manchester United academy forward Dillon Hoogewerf has completed a permanent transfer to German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 18-year-old Dutchman’s move to the Bundesliga giants has now received international clearance. The agreement includes an initial loan fee and a sell-on clause for the Red Devils.
The youngster played 16 games for Neil Wood’s side this season across Premier League 2, EFL Trophy and UEFA Youth League.
He scored two goals and made one assist from those games. His last appearance came via the substitutes bench in a 2-1 Youth League win against Young Boys in December.
The former Ajax youngster shone in United’s academy sides after making the switch to Manchester in August 2019.

From 35 under-18 appearances for the young Reds, Hoogewerf scored 18 goals and made 12 assists.
The Netherlands under-17 international scored three goals and made two assists from his 21 appearances for the under-23s side.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United were happy to facilitate the move for Dillon Hoogewerf’s benefit due to the attacking depth at academy level.
The Reds do have the likes of Charlie McNeil, Alejandro Garnacho, Joe Hugill, Manni Norkett and Ethan Ennis coming through the ranks.
And after D’Mani Mellor saw his proposed loan move to Crawley Town scuppered due to a ‘right balls-up’ with the paperwork, the Reds have plenty of depth to accommodate Hoogewerf’s departure.
