Bryan Mbeumo and Joshua Zirkzee have developed a strong bond since the former joined Manchester United last summer.
Bryan Mbeumo was one of Manchester United’s big signings last year.
The Cameroon international adapted quickly to life at Old Trafford, with Joshua Zirkzee emerging as one of his closest friends at the club.
Mbeumo is gearing up for his second season at the club, hoping to build on the 11 Premier League goals he scored last season, while Zirkzee’s future at United is uncertain because Benjamin Sesko would benefit from stronger competition in the striker department.

Joshua Zirkzee shares verdict on wrestling match with Bryan Mbeumo
Not only did Mbeumo previously label Zirkzee as underrated, but the pair have also spent some time together during the off-season.
Ahead of the first training session at Carrington for pre-season on Thursday, Mbeumo took to Instagram to share footage from his time off.
It features multiple different workouts, including a wrestling match with Zirkzee.
In reaction to the post, Zirkzee commented: “Good wrestle bro.”

This is further proof that Mbeumo and Zirkzee are enjoying their time together, however long it lasts, but hopefully neither of them sustains any knocks from the wrestling.
Zirkzee has attracted interest from Serie A clubs in the summer, but there has not been any formal interest in the Netherlands forward this summer.
The 25-year-old missed out on a place in the Netherlands squad for the 2026 World Cup, but Ronald Koeman’s side were knocked out in the round of 32.
Zirkzee is not going to get back into the Netherlands squad unless he is playing regularly, so, unfortunately for Mbeumo, there may be a chance he leaves Old Trafford this summer.

Michael Carrick will want to build on team chemistry
Of course, there is no guarantee that Zirkzee leaves the club this summer.
It depends on potential suitors and their willingness to meet United’s demands.
But if Zirkzee is a popular member in the dressing room, Michael Carrick may want to give him another chance to make something of his United career.
It clearly wouldn’t upset Mbeumo if Zirkzee were to remain for the 2026/27 campaign.
