Manchester United prospect Shola Shoretire has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award.
The talented forward is just 17, but has caught the eye having made the step up to the under-23s.
He made his senior debut in a 3-1 win over Newcastle in February, becoming the second-youngest player to represent United in the Premier League era and one of the club’s all-time seven youngest players.

Shoretire’s stats
Shoretire’s breakthrough season saw him make plenty of goal contributions.
He bagged ten league goals and laid on a further six assists for Neil Wood’s side as United finished eighth in Division 1.
Those strikes included a hat-trick in a stunning 6-4 victory over Blackburn in February, 19 days before he made his senior debut.
He also finished the season in fine form, grabbing doubles in wins over Chelsea and Derby in the closing weeks of the campaign.
Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year
Shoretire’s season has already been rewarded within the club by scooping the Young Player of the Year award.
He also became the youngest player to represent United in European competition when he came on against Real Sociedad in February.
Winning the divisional award would cap a stunning campaign for the teenager, who is part of the United squad for the Europa League final too.
It’s exciting to see what he will achieve next season, as he looks to continue his rapid progress.
