The Daily Mail report that Manchester United are planning to re-open their Carrington training complex today (Tuesday).
It has been shut since Thursday, when the decision was taken to call off the Old Trafford clash with Brighton which was due to take place on Saturday.
It is also a week to the day since United’s game with Brentford was postponed, with less than 24 hours before kick-off.
United’s next game is on 27 December when they travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle.

There has been no confirmation either way whether that game will go ahead, and it is unlikely to come until far closer to the time.
It will depend on United’s test results in the days leading up to the match, with players in theory approaching the end of their ten day isolation periods.
Newcastle were in action against Manchester City on Sunday, in a game they lost 4-0, and have not missed any games due to Covid.
The signs are that things are moving in the right direction but it is far too early to tell whether United will be back in action as planned over Christmas.

The period without games may have provided Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane extra opportunity to get fit ahead of United’s return to training.
Of course, we don’t know what the impact of Covid will be on the squad and whether any players will be slower to return.
Anthony Martial should be further down the road to fitness, but with talk over his future, Ralf Rangnick may not be falling over himself to rush the Frenchman back into his squad.
The Premier League have now outlined the protocols for a match being called off. If a team has 13 outfielders and a goalkeeper, they will be required to play, as per the Daily Mail.
United apparently had just seven available players for the Brighton game, and will hope those numbers have vastly improved by the Newcastle game.
