Manchester United have been named among the clubs tracking Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Tuttosport report United are keen on the Serbian, along with Real Madrid.
His contract expires in 2023 and Fiorentina are trying to extend his deal. So with that in mind, links to United are not too surprising.
But Vlahovic is still a very interesting strike option for United if Erling Haaland is unavailable or too expensive. Here is a look at three reasons why…

In top form
Vlahovic is among Serie A’s top goalscorers. He is joint fifth in the scoring charts with 15 so far this season.
He has a goal conversion rate of 25 per cent from his shots, equal with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Six of these goals have come in his last four Serie A matches, including a brace against Atalanta at the weekend.
12 of Vlahovic’s goals have come from open play, with three from the penalty spot.
Age and potential
The left-footed forward was a breakout star early on, becoming Partizan Belgrade’s youngest ever goalscorer at 16.
Vlahovic’s first Serie A goal came at 19, and he is now establishing himself as one of Europe’s most in-demand forwards.
He also has two international goals for Serbia too, and if he continues to take steps forward, he could become one of football’s top strikers over the next decade.

Big name backing
Vlahovic’s quality has not gone unnoticed, with former Italy striker Christian Vieri giving him his backing.
Vieri was quoted by TMW this week: “I think that after Haaland and Mbappé he is one of the strongest in Europe, a center forward like that. Do you remember the goal against Inter?
“He has quality, technique. He is Serbian and they are all technically good, they are called the Brazilians of the East.”
