Manchester United are heavily linked with a move for Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan.
Among the potential transfer options for Manchester United in January, is a move for Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan.
Nypan is one of Norway’s brightest talents, becoming the youngest player to score a hat-trick in the top flight since Erling Haaland.
The attacking midfielder impressed for Rosenborg against United in pre-season, and has admitted idolising former players Cristiano Ronaldo and Ander Herrera.

Sverre Nypan on his next move
Rosenborg are pushing Nypan to make a decision on his future, with a January transfer a potentially lucrative one for the Norwegian club.
The 18-year-old will have plenty of options open to him, and making the move to United is a move that once scared off Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham chose to take an intermediate step, joining Borussia Dortmund, rather than make the jump to a bigger club.
In an interview with Nettavisen, poured cold water on the idea of settling for a more conservative move, believing there are risks associated with any transfer.
He said: “If you go to a slightly smaller club, but which is higher ranked than Rosenborg, there is no guarantee that you will get to play or do so. Going the long way does not mean that you will succeed anyway.
“Of course, it’s more difficult to break into a big team, but I don’t think it’s that easy no matter where you go.”
Nypan’s comments bode well for Manchester United. He is not fearful of taking on the challenge of signing for a huge club, and believes in his own ability.
He is not over-confident, but he does not sound like a player willing to settle for something less and be too patient and cautious, plotting out a grand career-plan, when there are pitfalls along every step.
Nypan wants to see club before signing
Sverre Nypan is excited about his next potential move, however, he has one condition before doing so.
He explains that he wants to see the club for himself, and won’t commit without doing so.
“If a transfer is approaching or there is a club that seems very interesting, then we might go down and see what it is like there, and say hello to people. I’m not going to sign anywhere until I’ve been there and seen for myself. That goes without saying.”
Nypan’s request is not unusual. You would hope that if he got as far as visiting Manchester United at Carrington, that would seal a deal there and then. But this famously did not work with Jude Bellingham.
The good news for Nypan is there is a potential pathway for him, he plays in an attacking midfield role where there is room for new competition, especially with Mason Mount’s injury issues.
