Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job security has been an exceptionally hot topic since Manchester United’s 5-0 loss against Liverpool.
That was to be expected, despite Solskjaer getting a new contract in the summer.
The Athletic report that United will keep faith with Solskjaer for this Saturday’s clash with Tottenham.
He will apparently be given the chance to make amends for Sunday’s humiliation.

The report also says that key directors at the club are still planning to work long term with Solskjaer at the helm.
That has been the message from United throughout Solskjaer’s reign, but Sunday’s result brought that faith under new scrutiny.
Before the next international break, United face Spurs, Atalanta and Manchester City.
That would be a tough run of games for a new manager to come into; a real baptism of fire.

We wrote earlier this month that November 7 might be the date to watch in terms of a decision on Solskjaer.
That is when those three tough fixtures are out of the way and the final international break of the year begins.
Making a decision then would give United time to make a decision on a replacement without having to rush.
But the report indicates that Solskjaer still retains some faith among the people who matter at United.
That faith will be tested if United get bad results in their next three matches, and it might just be the case that Solskjaer remains in situ so any new manager has a gentler introduction to the job.
