Alejandro Garnacho stepped for Manchester United this week to produce his best all round display of the season.
Alejandro Garnacho has proven his point to manager Erik ten Hag that he is a player he can rely on to contribute as a starter.
As with any 19-year-old, Garnacho can still be prone to inconsistency, but when he’s ‘on it’, he is absolutely sensational.
Voted man of the match in the 3-2 win over Aston Villa, Garnacho said he wanted to ‘take control’ of the game and he did exactly that, leading a memorable comeback.

Alejandro Garnacho seizes chance
Alejandro Garnacho is determined to succeed at Manchester United, in direct contrast to a player who gave up months ago.
Jadon Sancho has not played a first team minute since August and has been training alone following a disagreement with Erik ten Hag, and has refused to apologise.
The comparison between the two players was discussed on ESPN FC, with Sancho blasted for letting his situation spiral out of control.
Craig Burley told the broadcaster that if he was Sancho watching Garnacho light up Old Trafford like he did this week, “I’d be sat at home embarrassed, watching a kid do what he’s done.”
Mario Melchiot warned: “He’s killing his own career, he’s not killing the team.”
Manchester United have found a bright young talent who can step up, with Garnacho benefitting from the extra game time created through Sancho’s continued unavailability.
Garnacho played on the right wing against Villa, displacing Antony, a challenge Sancho was unable or unwilling to rise to.
Garnacho backed to succeed
Garnacho was the star in the win over Villa, netting his first brace for the club, and also seeing another goal disallowed.
His goals had the stadium rocking, before Rasmus Hojlund struck the winner with his first-ever Premier League goal.
Melchiot said: “He’s hard-working, and the way he wants to achieve and play better every time.
“His confidence is rising. when you are young and playing that good, you need to score goals, in a stadium that size, it’s a great place to be and score goals his team really needs him.”
He added that he liked the potential partnership with Marcus Rashford, with both players starting in the same side, commenting that they create a real headache for opponents.
He said: “If you only have Garnacho he’s isolated you close him down and he calms down. You can see the pace of Rashford, and him on the opposite side, together they can really bring you trouble.”
