Manchester United supporters have named the man of the match against Everton following the 3-0 win at Goodison Park.

Teenager Alejandro Garnacho scored a stunning overhead kick against Everton in just the third minute of the game after a cross from Diogo Dalot.

Gary Neville even told Sky Sports it was the greatest overhead kick he has ever seen, better than Wayne Rooney’s famous goal against City at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford, via the penalty spot, and Anthony Martial, added to the scoreline in the second half to give Manchester United a comfortable victory.

Manchester United fans name man of the match

Alejandro Garnacho was selected as man of the match on Sky Sports by Gary Neville. However, Manchester United fans had a different perspective, with Kobbie Mainoo winning the vote.

Here is a look at the breakdown, via the club app, with Garnacho trailing in second place.

Kobbie Mainoo recognition deserved

Neville told Sky that he actually considered Mainoo to have been Manchester United’s ‘best player’ on the day, but was swayed by Garnacho’s magical moment which swung the game in his team’s favour.

Mainoo was making just his second ever start for Manchester United, and his first in the Premier League.

He looked very assured in possession, dropping deep, and also driving forward to join the attack too, picking his moments well. There will be more opportunities coming his way.
