Roy Keane has been asked who he wants to become the next permanent manager of Manchester United.
After an underwhelming 14 months, Ruben Amorim was sacked, ending his era, which will go down among the worst in Manchester United history.
Darren Fletcher stepped into the hot seat while United considers options like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for caretaker manager.
United will then search for a permanent successor to Amorim, with the appointment expected to begin work in July 2026.
Already, United have been linked with Oliver Glasner and Xavi, while the latest name to emerge has been Thomas Tuchel.
Paul Scholes has picked Tuchel as his top option, and now Roy Keane has named who he wants as the next manager.

Roy Keane wants Eddie Howe as the next Manchester United manager
United are going to be linked with some of the next managers in the world over the next few months, with dozens of interviews awaiting Ineos.
However, if Keane were in charge, he’d drive a few hours north to Newcastle and take Eddie Howe to Old Trafford, as he explained on Sky Sports.

“Whoever goes in, you wish them well,” Keane admitted when asked about Solskjaer.
“Is he the right answer? If it is until the end of the season, I think Ole would do alright. But do I see Ole as the manager for the next four or five years to get them back competing? Probably not.”
Keane then revealed why Howe would be his top choice.
“Who’d I go with? I’d go with Eddie Howe. I like him. I like what he’s done. He’s managed a lot of games; they play good football. I know it’s not for everyone, he’ll have his critics.
“I like what he’s done at Newcastle, even at Bournemouth; he’s still a young man. I love his calmness. I think sometimes Man United needs a little bit of that.
“I’d be happy to see him go in there.”
WOULD you consider Eddie Howe to become Manchester United manager?
Is he the right man to replace Ruben Amorim? Or does this have disaster written all over it?
Eddie Howe ticks multiple boxes for Manchester United
While he won’t be the first choice pick for many fans, Howe will tick a lot of boxes for United if he is taken into consideration.
The Newcastle boss has plenty of Premier League experience, managing 352 games across his time at Bournemouth and the Magpies.
This would make him a top contender in Ineos’ eyes, and it won’t be the only factor.
Howe plays a United brand of football with his team at its best being very attacking, with flying wingers and a strong midfield, led by a proper number nine.
It would take a big effort to get Howe out of Newcastle, but if that phone rang, he would surely take the call from the Red Devils.
