Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand did not hesitate to name one player that he would bring to Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window.
The transfer window opened on 1st January for Premier League clubs and is expected to slam shut on 3rd February at 11pm UK time.
Manchester United have dipped their foot in the transfer window and signed Patrick Dorgu from Lecce for an initial fee of £25m and Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.
Both Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven were unveiled in front of the Old Trafford faithful ahead of the 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Red Devils have also seen high-profile exits from Old Trafford in the January window, including Marcus Rashford signing on loan for Aston Villa.
Ruben Amorim had previously hinted that he did not expect United to be overly busy in the January window, despite the Red Devils’ struggles this season.
The 40-year-old United manager is expected to receive his major signings for his overhaul of the first-team squad in the summer window.

Ferdinand wants one signing for Man Utd
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has his eye on one “natural number nine” that he would want under Ruben Amorim.
Amorim has struggled with striking options since his arrival from Sporting CP last November, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both out of form.
The former Sporting CP boss even turned to Kobbie Mainoo as a false nine option for United’s clash with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on the weekend.
Ferdinand would welcome United making a deadline-day move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray.
Victor Osimhen was loaned out to Galatasaray in September 2024 after his move to Premier League side Chelsea collapsed last summer.
The 26-year-old Nigerian striker, whose loan deal expires in the summer, has been in fine form this season and has scored 17 times in 21 appearances.
When one United fan said the Red Devils needed to sign a ‘natural number nine,’ Ferdinand said: “I 100 per cent agree with you. I completely agree.
“A natural number nine. Victor Osimhen, I would have gone with Osimhen on loan. Get him on loan, man. If it’s possible, I would have got him.”
Man Utd legend Ferdinand is big fan of Osimhen
Ferdinand has been a big admirer of Victor Osimhen and highlighted that the “experienced” Napoli and Nigeria striker has done it at the “top level.”
“I’ve watched him [Hojlund] the last two games closely and I’m like, it just doesn’t add up,” he said last month.
“I’d be going to get Osimhen now. If we could do it from a financial standpoint, get him on loan, I’d go and get Osimhen now.
“[He] guarantees you somebody who can get on the end of things, scores goals, he’s experienced, done it at the top level.”
