Saul Niguez caused a bit of a stir on Sunday afternoon when he declared he will soon be making an announcement on his new club.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder posted a message on Instagram on Sunday saying he will be making a decision in three days time.

United hopes
United have been linked to Saul Niguez on and off over the past year, with The Times reporting interest in April 2019.
Spanish newspaper AS reported late last year that United were renewing this interest. Sky Sports reported in May that he remains a top target.
Saul has a £130 million release clause in his contract, but The Mail report Atletico may be more willing to sell for around £80 million.
The 25-year-old is a Spain international and a regular in Atletico Madrid’s team. He would be a tremendous addition to United’s midfield.
What’s this all about?
The big question to ask is ‘why is Saul Niguez’ making this announcement now?
Atletico Madrid’s season resumes when La Liga kicks off on June 12.
They are still in the Champions League after knocking Liverpool out, so it would be odd for Saul to announce now that he is set to depart.

Saul is more likely to be announcing a contract extension with Atletico Madrid, than a move to Manchester United, sadly.
Or it could be nothing to be with transfers at all.
This could be part of a smart advertising ploy for Saul’s new boots contract, or even something more obscure, like a new aftershave sponsorship(!).
This won’t stop us hoping, and checking in on Saul’s announcement, just in case he declares he is making a blockbuster move to Old Trafford.
But don’t get too invested in it, as great as a potential move to sign him would be, or you will probably just land up disappointed.
