Paul Pogba hasn’t held back in his criticism of Jose Mourinho in an interview with Sky Sports.
Pogba shone as Manchester United beat Mourinho’s Tottenham 3-1 on Sunday, to move 14 points clear of them in second place.
The game bore hallmarks of the closing months of Mourinho’s time at United – the negative tactics, the lack of confidence in the team and the desperate attempts to distract attention from the result in the press.
Pogba has outlined the difference between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mourinho’s methods.

“What I have now with Ole is different, he wouldn’t go against the players,” said Pogba. “He wouldn’t go against the players.
“Maybe Ole wouldn’t pick them, but it’s not like he puts them on the side like they don’t exist anymore. That’s the difference between Mourinho and Ole.
“Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don’t know what happened. That’s the strange thing I had with Mourinho and I cannot explain to you because even I don’t know.
“Maybe [Solskjaer’s methods work] because he is a bit closer to the people. Ole has helped Luke a lot, it was a difficult season with Luke and Mourinho, and he has proved the quality he always had and the trust of the manager.”

“I don’t know what happened, I’m sure Mourinho said something that would make people speak, that’s what he does.
“We got the result we wanted, Ole knows it and we enjoyed that moment because we know Mourinho and we know what he likes. We don’t need this [war of words], we just focus on us.
“We won the game, he lost the game and he doesn’t want to speak about the game, he wants to speak about the dad of someone, that’s what he does. Everybody knows him, it’s very Mourinho.”
Pogba has seen right through what Mourinho did after the game, just like Solskjaer’s son did.

He just made some outrageous comments, knowing that most of the media would lap them up and fail to dissect Tottenham’s meek second half surrender in as much detail.
Pogba was in the dressing room when Mourinho did that at United and now the same thing is happening at Tottenham.
United aren’t perfect, but they’re more harmonious and less toxic than Mourinho’s Tottenham right now.
There are more comments from Pogba to be aired on Sky Sports ahead of Sunday’s game with Burnley so there could be further attacks on Mourinho to come.
