Jesse Lingard is back in pre-season with Manchester United.
The midfielder’s future is up in the air. He shone on loan at West Ham last season but has just a year left on his current United deal.
The Athletic claim that Lingard is open to knuckling down and proving himself again at United.
One of the reasons he was able to hit the ground running in east London ws how hard he trained in the first part of the season, even when he wasn’t playing.

So whatever his next move is, Lingard understands the importance of putting the hard yards in on the training pitch.
With many of United’s players handed extended breaks after Euro 2020, Lingard might get chances to impress in pre-season.
On top of that, Marcus Rashford will be out until October after deciding to undergo surgery on his shoulder injury.
That might hand chances to Lingard if he stays.
Another midfielder who’s back in pre-season is Hannibal Mejbri and he posted a picture of him on the training pitch on his Instagram story.

Mejbri hasn’t had the same thrilling summer as Rashford, Harry Maguire or Luke Shaw, but he’s made his own strides on the international stage.
The 18-year-old made three appearances for Tunisia after the end of the season, having opted to play for them over France.
Having made his senior debut at the end of last season, that taste of international football could be the making of him.
If he wants to kick on, the hard work starts on the training ground.
