Peter Schmeichel was one of the few Manchester United players to dare to wear City blue.
Schmeichel joined City at the tail end of his career, and some United fans have never really forgiven his error of judgement.
Well, Schmeichel has reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo’s emphatic decision to reject City and sign with United.

Somewhat shamelessly, the great Dane is celebrating as if his move to City never happened.
We don’t blame Big Pete for being embarrassed he signed for City and wishing it never happened.
At least at this stage in life he knows clearly which side his allegiances lie to.
Goalkeepers go crazy
Schmeichel was not the only former Manchester United goalkeeper to react to the Ronaldo move.
Champions League winning teammate Edwin van der Sar said he was in shock the move came off.
Another former Ronaldo teammate Tim Howard also commented on social media as the move was confirmed.
This deal has brought the United fanbase and family together, with a true Old Trafford icon sealing his return.
It was the way it was supposed to be. Ronaldo was always destined for one last dance at Old Trafford.
