Former Juventus star Paul Pogba sent fans into a frenzy after he shared a photo of him wearing a Manchester United shirt featuring a club legend’s name.
Paul Pogba has been a free agent since last November after his contract with Serie A outfit Juventus was terminated by mutual agreement.
The 31-year-old Frenchman returned to the Turin-based side in 2022 after his contract with Manchester United expired and he signed for Juventus on a free.
Pogba made a real name for himself during his stunning first spell at Juventus, but the former United star was unable to enjoy a scintillating second run at the club.
The France international was hit with injuries during his second spell at the Old Lady before he was initially handed down a four-year ban in 2024 for a doping offence.
Pogba was initially provisionally suspended from playing in September 2023 after he was found to have elevated levels of testosterone in his system.
Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal (NADO) then found in October 2023 that a sample B from Pogba had tested positive following his initial failed drugs test.
Pogba denied any wrongdoing and learned in February 2024 that his ban would be four years, but the former Juventus ace vowed to fight to clear his name.

Paul Pogba’s initial four-year ban dated back to his failed test in 2023, meaning that he would not have been eligible to play professional football until 2027.
However, the former Manchester United and France midfielder successfully brought down the length of his ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) last October.
It was revealed that Pogba’s doping offence ban would be reduced from four years to 18 months and he would be eligible to play football again from March 2025.
The 2018 World Cup winner left Juventus in 2024 and it has remained unclear what will be Pogba’s next destination in his professional playing career.
Pogba took to social media and shared photos of himself wearing a United shirt featuring the iconic number seven and the name of none other than David Beckham.
He captioned his post on Instagram with the message of “tu as la ref?!” in French, meaning “do you have the ref?!” in English.
However, Pogba’s post was enough for some fans to speculate that Pogba’s next destination could be at David Beckham’s Inter Miami side.
United legend Beckham is a co-owner and the president of the MLS outfit and the former England captain already has Barcelona icon Lionel Messi at the club.

Pogba paid tribute to Juventus after his second departure from the club and the Frenchman admitted that he is “looking forward to the next chapter” of his career.
“It has been a privilege to pull on the shirt of the Bianconeri and to share so many special moments together,” he said, as per BBC Sport.
“I cherish the memories we made. They live on.
“Even in the most difficult moments over the past year, your support was crucial and I want to thank Juve fans around the world for their compassion.
“I am looking forward to the next chapter of my career and to stepping out on the pitch with my next club.”
