Now Pogba has sent a message out on Twitter suggesting he is fully focused on the season’s kick-off next Saturday.

An ideal situation would see Pogba extend his deal. It is very possible that will come next.

United fans were delighted to see Pogba back at Old Trafford on Saturday and the Frenchman may have felt some of that appreciation.

The worst case scenario for United is still Pogba leaving on a free transfer, and United may have been tempted to cash in at various points this summer. But Pogba looks keen on staying put.

Exit route shut off – for now?

The most likely exit route for Pogba this summer was a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

This looks very unlikely this summer now they have appear set to hand a mega-contract to free agent Lionel Messi, BBC Sport report.

Pogba could still join them next summer, but United will do everything reasonable to try and get him to sign a new deal.

United’s squad is stronger than at any point in the last five years since Pogba joined. He could achieve his dreams by staying put.
