Turkish giants Fenerbahce are making progress on a deal to sign Mason Greenwood from Marseille, in a transfer that could see Manchester United pocket millions.
Mason Greenwood came through the youth teams and graduated from the Manchester United academy before being sold to Marseille for around £26m ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
After a successful loan at Getafe, Greenwood established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Ligue 1.
Now, the 24-year-old could be on the verge of signing for Fenerbahce, which would benefit United due to a sell-on clause.

Who do you want Man Utd to sign NEXT?
Man Utd could earn around £4.25m from Mason Greenwood transfer
United included a 50% sell-on clause when they sold Greenwood to Marseille.
That means whenever Greenwood gets linked with a move away from Marseille, United get dragged into the story, but we might soon reach a conclusion on the matter.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Greenwood’s camp has informed Fenerbahce that they accepted the contract terms offered until June 2030.
A fee of over £34.1m was submitted earlier today.
If that deal is accepted, United will pocket an extra £4.25m for Greenwood – after initially selling the forward for £26m.
The strategy of including a significant sell-on clause will benefit United in the transfer market, even if it’s a mere £4m, because that could go towards a new signing.
Greenwood needs a green light for Marseille to step closer to Fenerbahce.

Mason Greenwood could join Fred at Fenerbahce
The only former United player at Fenerbahce right now is Fred.
Fred left United for Fenerbahce in August 2023.
Greenwood and Fred were teammates before the latter was sent to Getafe on loan and later to Marseille on a permanent deal.
That means Greenwood could form a reunion with Fred if he completes his switch to the Turkish Super Lig.
