Following a disappointing international break in November for Denmark, Patrick Dorgu stressed that he is focused on Manchester United.
Denmark will try again in March to secure one of the remaining four European spots at the 2026 World Cup.
Manchester United left-back Patrick Dorgu started in Denmark’s dramatic 4-2 defeat against Scotland, with Scott McTominay scoring a sensational bicycle kick to open the scoring for the hosts at Hampden Park.
Rasmus Hojlund and Dorgu scored the only goals for Denmark, but it wasn’t enough to grant them a spot at the World Cup as Scotland scored two goals in stoppage time.
With the international break over, all 20 United players involved will be returning to Carrington to prepare for Monday night’s game against Everton.

Patrick Dorgu reacts to Scott McTominay’s incredible goal against Denmark
Danish media criticised Dorgu after the defeat to Scotland.
Denmark manager Brian Riemer has been full of praise for Dorgu, but his crossing let him down in the country’s crucial qualifying fixture.
McTominay took the headlines after the game and Dorgu was asked about the former United midfielder at full-time.
“It was a good goal but we also have enough good players at United as well,” Dorgu said, as quoted by the Daily Record. “I am happy for him winning the league in Napoli.
“We are in a really good position at United. We will go back with confidence to help the team to get more wins.
“Denmark is now March. It is a long time and we just need to concentrate on club matters until then.”
This also means that Amorim will have his squad together – without any international breaks – until after Christmas. There will be plenty of fixtures during that period and a chance for the Red Devils to climb up the Premier League table.

It bodes well that players like Dorgu are focused on club matters.

“It is difficult to put words into what has happened. It is part of football and we just need to look forward now.”
