Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has sent out a message to one MMA legend after sharing a photo of their encounter on the social media platform Instagram.
Sir Alex Ferguson brought Patrice Evra to Old Trafford in the 2006 January transfer window after Manchester United agreed a reported £5.5m deal with Monaco.
Evra made a whopping 379 appearances for the Red Devils and spent the large majority of his United career under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
During his time at Old Trafford, former Red Devils defender Evra lifted five Premier League titles, a Champions League and three League Cups with United.
The 43-year-old Frenchman was part of the last United team to win a Premier League title in 2013, with Ferguson subsequently retiring from football.
Evra played under former United manager David Moyes in the 2013-14 campaign before the ex-United left-back left Old Trafford and signed for Juventus.

Evra meets MMA legend
Patrice Evra lifted two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias with Juventus before he saw out the remainder of his playing career with Marseille and West Ham.
The Manchester United legend officially called it time on his playing career in 2019, with Evra later making sporadic appearances as a pundit.
Former France defender Evra took to his personal Instagram account and shared a photo of him meeting MMA and UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Evra hilariously teased Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is considered one of the best MMA fighters of all time, by calling for a “training session” with the ex-UFC star.
“Brother, I would like a training session with you. Khabib: are you sure? I’m going to put you to sleep! Me: deal but relaxxx [sic] bro,” he wrote.
UFC legend Khabib responds to Evra
Khabib Nurmagomedov has been out of the octagon since 2020 after his sensational win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi.
The 36-year-old Russian star submitted Justin Gaethje in the second round to successfully defend his lightweight championship at the time.
Khabib retired in the aftermath of UFC 254 and vacated the UFC lightweight championship, with the Dagestan native holding a perfect 29-0 MMA record.

The UFC legend has since worked as an MMA promoter and coach, with Khabib even coaching lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and being part of his corner.
Khabib took to Instagram Stories and responded to Man Utd legend Evra by telling him to be “ready” for when he sends him the “location.”
“I will send you location very soon. Be ready,” he wrote.
