Manchester United centre-back Leny Yoro made his competitive debut for the Red Devils against Arsenal.
Leny Yoro had been targeting a return against Arsenal for several weeks, wanting to be back in action for December.
While he was not among the starters, Yoro accomplished his target by making his return, a 59th minute substitute against the Gunners.
The tough aspect was United were already 1-0 down, losing 2-0 in the end with Arsenal scoring both goals from corner kicks.

Leny Yoro given difficult assignment
Leny Yoro was thrown straight into the fire, with Manchester United losing away at a top Premier League competitor
It was a show of faith from Ruben Amorim in his fitness and his ability that he trusted Yoro to go into the situation.
Yoro came out the came with 30+ minutes under his belt, and getting past the mental barrier of featuring against the team he suffered an injury against during pre-season.
The summer signing from Lille suffered a fractured metatarsal in pre-season against the Gunners, his second match, and had to undergo surgery.
Verdict on Leny Yoro
Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown spoke to MUTV about Leny Yoro’s performance at full-time.
Brown commented: “When Leny Yoro come on he was very good by the way. Sharp and very athletic.
“I’m definitely looking forward to seeing a lot more.”
It was a clear positive verdict. Those words from Brown, ‘sharp’ and ‘very athletic’ speak to Yoro’s potential, which has seen him lauded as a generational talent.
Manchester United fans were also encouraged by Yoro’s contribution during his brief display.
He added that he likes Ruben Amorim’s approach, adding: “The manager’s been swapping the team around constantly in the games that he’s been here, and I think he’ll still continue to do that, still getting a look at everyone.”
It’s too early to say if Leny Yoro will start for Manchester United this weekend against Nottingham Forest – but he will be in the mix, and could see minutes off the bench
United are at home, and Yoro would be in line to make his first ever appearance at Old Trafford, months after he was first shown around the stadium.
